Carla Maria García Machado (Faculty)

Prenatal & Birth Advocate School of Health & Wellness

Carla Maria García Machado worked for 12 years at IBM as a System Analyst and Project Manager. She then became an Astrologer, a Flower Remedies Specialist and a Reichian Therapist, and subsequently opened a clinic called, Casa do Despertar (House of Awakening). This was a special place where several holistic health professionals worked in concert and various workshops about womanhood and conscious beginnings of life were conducted.

Her life is dedicated to disclosing the relevance of prenatal life for the advent of a healthy, fraternal and spiritually awakened humanity. In 2010, together with six colleagues, she founded the Brazilian National Association for Prenatal Education (ANEP Brasil), which offers training in Prenatal Education: www.anepbrasil.org.br

Carla also teaches a seminar entitled, “Pro Mundo Nascer Feliz” (For the world to be born happy) with her longtime NewEarth University colleague Laura Uplinger, traveling to different Brazilian towns and cities.

For the last 15 years she has also conducted a philosophical and artistic group called, “Women Reinventing Life.” She created that group based on the book, “Women Who Run with the Wolves.” In it the sublime dimensions of daily life are addressed. Parents of two children – the first born in a birthing center and the other at home – Carla and her husband live in São Paulo.
