Ibu Maya Muchtar is a highly respected ayurvedic teacher and practitioner based in Indonesia. She is also an ardent campaigner and advocate for human rights and citizen diplomacy. She lives and practices between Java and Bali.
The name Maya Safira Muchtar represents the true color of Indonesia. An amalgam of culture starting from the Sanskrit to Arabic language. Born in West Java – Indonesia, but grew up in India and spent some of her adult life in Geneva – Switzerland. That is also where she has obtained her degree in hotel management.
Besides having Bahasa Indonesia as her mother tongue, she also speaks French and English. Her life totally changed after she met her spiritual Master, Anand Krishna. He introduced her to the world of Eternal Happiness. As an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor, healer and a hypnotherapist instructor, she dedicates her life in healing, meditation, and yoga. Maya is also involved in humanitarian services, interfaith movement, and has great concern for education. She is the founder of Forum for Educators, Doctors and Psychologist for Indonesia and Islamic Movement for Non Violence.
Maya was a presenter at the 2019 NewEarth Festival in Bali, Indonesia.
